About Us

TEAM is a software engineering and systems integration company that develops custom applications for end users, provides software R&D services for IT providers, and complements its professional services with extensive data center capabilities. In addition, TEAM has a collection of software products and reusable components that leverage our efforts.

Background
TEAM was formed in 2000 to respond to the software engineering needs of early clients, many of which remain clients today. At that time we began working with a promising growth company named Intranet Solutions, Inc., which had an industry-leading offering in the emerging content management market. Intranet Solutions later became Stellent, Inc. and was acquired in late 2006 by Oracle as their enterprise content management (ECM) product line.

Since those early days, TEAM has grown in employee-owners and satisfied clients. TEAM has been profitable every year and has reinvested its profits into growth. TEAM is an employee-owned company -- every employee is a shareholder in TEAM. TEAM's management has in excess of 100 years of industry experience.

TEAM's Clients
TEAM has a variety of clients -- ranging from entrepreneurial startup firms to Fortune 500 companies. TEAM has many clients at its headquarters location in the Twin Cities, as well as locations around the globe; TEAM's clients cross industry boundaries and include both IT users and providers. The common element across TEAM's client base is their need for distinctive software engineering and systems integration skills, often ECM related.

How We Work
Most of TEAM's work is performed under a project model -- in some cases, TEAM has project responsibility and in other cases, TEAM provides subject matter expertise to a project managed by the client or a prime contractor. Occasionally, TEAM works with selected clients under a process model, in which TEAM staff are provided on a level-of-effort basis.

TEAM is well-versed in contemporary development environments such as .NET and Java, and various Microsoft and other legacy environments. While certain of our services are delivered with onsite presence, through the use of our data center tools and other means, much of our work is performed remotely -- thus saving cost and improving productivity.

TEAM's methodology is based on best practices for managing technical projects; and TEAM's expertise ranges from business analysis and technical architecture/design to construction, QA testing, and deployment. TEAM works extensively with collaborative projects, in which the client or third parties are involved, either as contributors or for technology transfer purposes.

Relationship With Stellent/Oracle
As described above, TEAM began working with Intranet Solutions in 2000. Already growing in the US and European markets, they wished to grow in the Asia Pacific region, as well. TEAM staff worked with them to build out their customer base, partnerships, and subsidiaries in the region. Several of TEAM's current clients are in this part of the world today.

TEAM's relationship with Stellent grew to reselling products and working with the customization of many and varied customer deployments -- including some of their largest and most sophisticated. Now that Stellent is part of Oracle, TEAM is becoming a member of the Oracle Partner Network and is also working with other ECM alternatives.

Why Customers Choose TEAM
To quote Dave Shannon, TEAM's CEO, "TEAM gets the job done." This is often under stressful conditions and tight budgets and timelines. The specialization of TEAM's expertise, combined with the complementary capabilities of our data center, provide excellent results at a reasonable cost. Our values reflect how we work -- we exist to serve customer needs, people are the source of our strength, and we take great pride in the quality of our work.
