Usage Case 1

FERC Compliance
One customer is required by Federal Energy Regulatory Committee to keep copies of certain records on non-rewritable media.  In their case, this is in addition to the electronic copy in the records management repository.  They use Kodak ImageWriter to write their data to microfilm to comply with this requirement.

Solution
TEAM created an interface between Kofax Ascent Capture, Oracle URM, and Kodak Image Writer using Kofax Ascent Scribe to automatically write the record to microfilm and send the resulting film roll and frame number to store with the Oracle URM record.

Usage Case 2

Medical Records
A state government customer needed to capture medical documents in electronic form from distributed locations and securely share with different agent categories in remote locations.

Solution
TEAM implemented Kofax Capture along with Oracle I/PM to scan, index, and securely store the medical records documents.  Kofax Capture was configured with the internet server feature to enable remote sites to queue document transfers to the central site for release to the I/PM document repository.  Kofax security was used to ensure scanned batches were only available to users in proper security categories.
