Choosing Your Path with Oracle Site Studio and WebCenter Sites
In all areas, there are clearly defined benefits to utilizing the right tool in the right place. For some, WebCenter Content and Site Studio will be the right solution for quickly and easily surfacing content. For others, WebCenter Sites represents an enormous step forward in Oracle’s WCM (Web Content Management) strategy and potentially fills an existing or future capability gap. We believe that while each solution has its merits, the audience for Site Studio will diminish over the next two years as the vast majority of projects will fall under the aegis of WC Sites’ four pillars – what we’re calling “M4“: marketing, media, monetization, and multi-language. Ultimately you, as a current WebCenter Content and Site Studio customer, need to ask yourself four questions:
1. Am I satisfied with the capabilities of Site Studio for realizing my online presence strategy?
2. What changes do I plan to make over the next two years to my online presence strategy?
3. What resources will be dedicated over the next two years to my online presence strategy?
4. Even if I’m satisfied and have no plans to change, what does Sites offer to change my mind?
